Cynthia Scott​

Owner/Founder
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Cynthia Scott LMFT currently serves as founder, owner, and therapist of Cornerstone Counseling Center. She is a graduate of Campbellsville University in 2005 and 2007, with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in counseling. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of Kentucky. 

She is the mother of three son's: Lucas, wife Jennifer, Dallas, Matt, wife Ali, three grandchildren Hallee, Ivoree, and Carter, and one great grandson Cleo. Cynthia enjoys spending time with family and investing in the lives of others. 

Janet Meeks

Licensed professional Clinical counselor​

 

Janet Meeks is a counselor at Cornerstone Counseling center with 30 years of experience working with children and families in a K-12 educational setting. Janet began her career as an elementary school teacher in Meade County where she spent eleven years in the classroom. She earned a master's degree in counseling and certifications in school leadership and school superintendent from Western Kentucky University. In 2001, Janet had an opportunity to return home to Breckinridge County where she served three years as principal of Custer Elementary School, four years as Assistant Superintendent, and nine years as Superintendent of Schools.
Additionally, Janet has served as an adjunct professor for the University of the Cumberlands since receiving her doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2016.Janet has extensive experience working with children and teenagers with ADHD, behavioral and anger management issues, academic challenges, and poor self-esteem. She has also worked with children and adults who have suffered from abusive relationships, drugs and alcohol addiction, depression, and anxiety. Janet is passionate about helping people overcome life's challenges to find purpose and meaning in their lives. She strives to create a warm and welcoming environment for clients so that they can begin the healing process and take steps toward reaching their goals. Janet has a genuine care and concern for the well-being of others, and she will provide the time and attention you need to improve your overall mental health.
In her free time, Janet enjoys all types of music, singing, traveling, and meeting new people. She enjoys listening to people and helping them be the best versions of themselves. Janet truly understands the importance of positive and supportive relationships, and she strives to equip others to be able to problem-solve, celebrate accomplishments, and enjoy life. 

Ali Scott

Office Manager

Ali was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky and currently resides in Cecilia. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently in the Mental Health Counseling Master's program at University of the Cumberlands. She has worked in the medical/mental health field for over 10 years. 

Ali and her husband, Matt, have been married for thirteen years and have a twelve year old son, Carter. They are active in Severns Valley Baptist Church. They have two dogs; Mazi-Grace, a labradoodle, and Indie, a goldendoodle. 

Ali enjoys graphic design, doing home-improvement projects with her husband and spending time with family, friends, and her two doodle pups.
